At the event, NHFPI Research Director Phil Sletten and NHFPI Executive Director Gene Martin examined who benefits from proposed BET rate reductions, how much state revenue is at stake, and what the evidence shows about the BET rate reduction’s impacts on jobs, businesses, and public services.

The webinar drew on data from NHFPI’s recent study, which found that a proposed reduction to the BET would have reduced BET revenue by more than $26 million per year this budget cycle, while providing minimal tax savings for most businesses.
