New Hampshire Fiscal Policy Institute Welcomes Emily Soule as New Hampshire State Policy Fellow

Concord, N.H. – The New Hampshire Fiscal Policy Institute is pleased to welcome Emily Soule as a New Hampshire State Policy Fellow through the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities’ State Priorities Partnership. Through this two-year, research-focused fellowship program, Emily will support NHFPI’s policy research and analysis, with a focus on the New Hampshire State Budget.

Emily joins NHFPI with a strong academic background in economics and public policy. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Political Science from the University of New Hampshire in 2022 and returned to pursue a Master of Public Policy from the University of New Hampshire’s Carsey School of Public Policy, graduating in 2024. Her research at UNH focused on justice system reform and economic policy analysis.

“As someone who was born and raised in New Hampshire, I am excited to join NHFPI and contribute to research that helps inform policies affecting the New Hampshire community,” said Soule.

A native of Penacook, Emily is passionate about making a positive impact in her home state. Her commitment to evidence-based policymaking and interest in economic and social issues align closely with NHFPI’s mission to foster economic opportunity and prosperity for all New Hampshire residents.

“We are delighted to welcome Emily to NHFPI,” said Gene Martin, NHFPI’s Executive Director. “Her strong academic training, research experience, and dedication to improving outcomes for Granite Staters make her an excellent addition to our team.”
