CONCORD, NH – The New Hampshire Fiscal Policy Institute (NHFPI) is pleased to announce the addition of Cole Riel as Development Director, a newly created position for the organization that will support NHFPI’s growth and long-term sustainability.

Cole brings extensive fundraising experience to NHFPI, with expertise in donor engagement, event management, and advancing strategic goals. Most recently, at the Greater Manchester Chamber, he served as Director of Small Business & Community Development, where he managed the Leadership Greater Manchester program and large, city-wide events with over 30,000 attendees.

Cole has also served as a Campaign Manager and Community Outreach Coordinator, in roles focused on organizing, relationship-building, program management, and effective stakeholder engagement. A dedicated civic servant, Cole was the Chair of the Goffstown Budget Committee from 2019-2021 and served as a New Hampshire State Representative from 2018-2020. He received recognition for his commitment to community service in the Union Leaders 40 Under 40 Class of 2023.

“At NHFPI, I look forward to advancing policy research and analysis for the well-being of Granite State families and low and moderate-income individuals,“ said Cole Riel, NHFPI Development Director. “My overarching goal in life has been to help improve others’ lives and make meaningful change possible.”

Cole holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Arts from the University of New Hampshire.

“In the past two years, we’ve doubled our team at NHFPI to address NH’s unmet public policy challenges,“ said Gene Martin, NHFPI Executive Director. “NHFPI is contributing more key research into New Hampshire’s fiscal policy landscape than ever before. Cole joining NHFPI at this important juncture ensures that we will be well-positioned to amplify and sustain this critical work for years to come.”
