Median Private Sector Wage Growth in New Hampshire Did Not Exceed Inflation in 2021

Monthly estimates of private sector median wages in New Hampshire show that, relative to inflation faced by consumers in the Northeastern United States, wage growth did not consistently keep up with inflation. These preliminary estimates show that the real purchasing power of Granite Staters earning median wages in December 2021 was about the same as in January 2021, and had fallen behind inflation during much of the year.
