NHFPI Announces 2023 Keynote Speaker Sara Chaganti

Concord, NH – Sara Chaganti, PhD, Deputy Director of Community Development Research in the Regional and Community Outreach Department at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, will keynote the New Hampshire Fiscal Policy Institute’s (NHFPI) 2023 Budget and Policy Conference. The conference, Tackling Workforce Challenges and Strengthening Economic Security, will take place on Monday, October 16, at the Grappone Conference Center in Concord.

Dr. Chaganti’s expertise lies in labor market disparities, career pathways, and job quality, and is particularly informed by her background in racial equity and the racial wealth divide. Her keynote, entitled Building an Economy for Everyone, will frame the central question of the day: “How does New Hampshire leverage public policy to help ensure a thriving economy that benefits all Granite Staters through workforce investments and supports?”

“We are thrilled to have Dr. Sara Chaganti serve as our keynote speaker and share her insights into how, by strengthening economic security for all individuals and families, we can provide the freedom to thrive and alleviate workforce constraints,” said Gene Martin, NHFPI Executive Director. “Dr. Chaganti’s extensive research on issues of equity and access will help contextualize these themes in a way that centers effective public policy solutions for addressing underlying structural disparities.”

Policymakers, business and community leaders, advocates, and concerned citizens will convene to examine this question through the lens of housing, health care, education, and child care.
