Examining the State Budget: The Governor’s Proposal

This webinar was held on Friday, February 19, 2021, from 1:00pm to 2:30pm.

The Governor’s budget proposal, released on February 11, serves as a starting point for deliberations in the House and the Senate over the next two years of expenditure priorities. With the potential for federal aid, significant changes in revenue, and other uncertainties associated with the pandemic and the recovery from it, legislators will have to consider many moving parts in the coming months. This webinar will examine the contents of the Governor’s budget proposal for State Fiscal Years 2022 and 2023, including comparisons to the current operating budget and State agency expenditure requests. The presentation will also review the key factors that may impact the State Budget process going forward, as well as opportunities to support the economic recovery for Granite Staters.

Presenter:  Phil Sletten, Senior Policy Analyst, NHFPI
